Quick Takes:
- Yuga Labs’ Legends of the Mara will launch a beta test.
- The beta test version will be launched in September.
- The Otherside has partnered with Farawaygg and is building a major Unity expansion.
Beta Test of the Legends of Mara
Legends of the Mara is a collection-based 2D strategy game for explorers as a follow-up to Otherside Second. Moreover, Yuga Labs introduced the game in March and said that this year will be a big year for the company.
Consequently, Yuga Labs is now launching a beta test for the game to grant Otherdeed NFT holders a new NFT. Also, it will allow a greater view of the Otherside metaverse. Given that, the game will also reveal information about the Kodas, a bipedal creature that only exists on 10% of the 100,000 Otherdeed land plots.
The Otherside meta announced on X that they will release the open beta for Legends of the Mara, and many rewards await. According to Otherside’s website, players will be able to defeat the evil forces that might attack their Otherdeed lands.
Otherside Partners with Farawaygg for Legends of Mara
Another important announcement was that the Otherside meta is partnering with Farawaygg to create a major expansion in Unity. However, they would like to get an overview of the version and gain feedback for improvement.
Furthermore, all the NFT landholders will be able to claim a Vessel, and each Vessel will turn into a Mara character. Also, these Maras could turn into Kodamaras, subject to the right conditions and catalysts.
Lastly, as per the information on the website, there will be three types of Mara. These are, Hunter, Farmer, and Enchanter, who will evolve depending upon the Constellations, called “Odiac.” To date, Otherdeeds has gained over $1.26 billion in trading volume, as per CryptoSlam. As a result, Yuga Labs is expecting to grow over the coming months with their new drive.
