Vespa’s move into NFTs shows the importance of using blockchain technology to improve customer experience and increase revenue
Italian motor vehicle manufacturer Piaggio has applied with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) to register the Vespa trademark into the metaverse and NFT space.
- Piaggio plans to offer virtual Vespas, NFT-authenticated digital objects, and software for creating, managing, shipping, and exchanging NFTs and collectible digital objects.
- The Web3 initiative also includes digital rewards that are authenticated using NFTs and computer games showcasing Vespas.
Piaggo Revs Up New NFT-Related Plans for Vespa
Piaggio joins the growing list of vehicle manufacturers riding the Web3 wave alongside BMW, Rolls Royce, and Porsche.
The iconic brand known for its stylish and high-quality scooters now provides commerce and blockchain software for NFTs. The digital assets include virtual scooters, vehicles, footwear, apparel, and digital media.
Additionally, Piaggo’s offerings will include downloadable digital media such as NFT-authenticated digital goods in digital currencies, cryptographic tokens, and tokens of value in the form of coupons and gift certificates for use in online virtual worlds.
NFT-authenticated digital rewards and computer games are also part of the plan.
With NFT Vespas already available, this move represents a technological and innovative breakthrough.
