The Sandbox sells LAND NFTs in collaboration with the likes of Tony Hawk, Snoop Dogg, Playboy, and other famous personalities and brands

Quick Take:

Starting tomorrow (November 24), The Sandbox sells LAND—its virtual real estate that makes up the metaverse—featuring Tony Hawk, Snoop Dogg, Playboy, and several other big-name personalities and brands to its players.

  • The new LAND sale featuring well-known figures will auction 1,967 LAND units.
  • Only whitelisted users can purchase LAND directly from The Sandbox.
  • However, you can acquire the virtual real-estate NFTs on secondary marketplaces.

The Sandbox partnering with multiple brands and prominent personalities—including the ever-so-famous Tony Hawk, Snoop Dogg, and Playboy—marks the first time the metaverse has featured this many big names during a single LAND sale.

“By including multiple brands that share a similar theme, like the California brands of California Dreamin’, users now have the chance to be neighbors of multiple partners that share a similar theme, like choosing the district you want to live in for a city,”

co-founder and COO of The Sandbox Sebastien Borget told Decrypt.

You can enter for LAND via tomorrow’s blind ballot. Therefore, you will not know where your LAND is until after purchasing a LAND non-fungible token (NFT). Perhaps you will be Snoop Dogg’s or Paris Hilton’s neighbor. Maybe, you can build a club next to Cipriani or a hotel next to Tony Hawk’s skate park.

Where you end up in The Sandbox metaverse all boils down to the luck of the draw.

The Sandbox Sells LAND

About LAND and How to Acquire It

This shortly upcoming LAND sale will auction a whopping 1,967 units across 50 estates, including 695 regular LANDS, 134 premium LANDS, and 19 1-of-1 sections.

To acquire directly from The Sandbox’s blind ballot auction, you must have at least 1,011 SAND ($530) in your meta-wallets and be a whitelist member.

Two whitelist raffles will take place—one for regular LAND, and the other for premium LAND. You can only win a regular or premium spot, not both.

NOTE: Only 1 piece of LAND can be acquired in the space of 24 hours.

If you are not on the whitelist, fear not. These NFTs—opening The Sandbox gates—are also buyable on secondary NFT marketplaces, like OpenSea.
