Scottie Pippen’s First NFT and Metaverse Journey

The former Chicago Bulls player is promoting himself via an NFT on the fantasy role-playing game Smolverse.

Smolverse is a virtually fun and community-driven metaverse that combines massive multiplayer online gaming (MMO) and non-fungible tokens (NFTs).

Buyers of these Pipen NFTs are able to use the soccer star as their character for navigating around the metaverse. The digital asset showcases himself as a pixilated avatar in a Chicago Bulls shirt with the number 33.

The MBA player shared the good news about his uncanny NFT on Twitter:

Other athletes minted into pixilated characters on the Smolverse platform include Borussia Dortmund, PSV Eindhoven, Eintracht Frankfurt and more.

Other Web3 Shenanigans – Pippen’s Blockchain Activity

It appears that NFTs are just the start of Pippen’s Web3 rabbit hole. On Twitter, he shared that Under Armour NFTs of digital sneakers tickled his fancy. And it’s no wonder—these digital collectibles are wearable assets in multiple metaverses, including The Sandbox, Decentraland and Town Star.

Moreover, the NBA champion has been seen following many Web3-related accounts, Twitter spaces, engaging with the community and more.

Fans are also taking to social media channels to share NFT digital art of the athlete, including Loser Club artist J’Von.

As a result, you can also find other NFTs of the basketball legend on OpenSea.
