Milady Maker opens up the virtual world of Minecraft
Milady Maker, a collection of Japanese anime characters and mood board-inspired NFTs, is soaring on OpenSea’s top collections for trading over the last 24 hours.
Miladys are a pool of 9,668 Japanese avatars wearing throwback attire. The NFTs are buried in the Ethereum blockchain, belonging to more than 2,900 collectors around the globe.
The mysterious digital painter, Milady Sonora, creates the artwork of wonky accessories and clothing combinations, before adding an on-chain algorithm to make her collection identifiable.
The project focuses on five opposing styles (Gyarou, Harajuku, Prep, Hypebeast, and Lolita) that act as rarity signals. These include:
The brighter the artwork, the more expensive the NFTs. The cheapest (thus dullest) Milady NFTs cost around $2,000 before gas fees, while “more attractive” ones sell for more than $6,000. The colors and style of one Milady recently warranted a sale of approximately $45,000.
THE MINECRAFT METAVERSE
Further enticing Milady collectors, the NFTs are the gateway to its Web3 version of Minecraft (Milady World Minecraft Server).
The Milady metaverse is an adaptable, open-world video game that delves into online socialization. The project consistently adds bonus features and regularly issues tokens to community events to entice collectors.
Like Minecraft, Milady entertains all levels of experience and ages. The game is casual, fun, social, and easy to understand.
NEXT IN LINE
Assisting towards “early, organic structure for Ethereum based identities,” the team behind the project is also creating generative NFT banners in the style of cover photos for Milday holders to mint.
The project also plans on creating audio NFTs (Milady Mixtapes), compatible VR versions of Miladys, and a clothing collection named Miladycore Bootlegs.
