The airline giant Lufthansa Group took to the virtual skies today, unfurling its ‘uptrip’ NFT loyalty program. By leveraging Polygon assets, all passengers of Austrian Airlines, Lufthansa, and Swiss International Air Lines, among others, can find themselves gifted with more than a can of cola and in-flight movies.
Quick Takes:
- Today, Lufthansa Group announced its Polygon NFT rewards program uptrip.
- uptrip enables all of the airline’s passengers to collect a diverse range of digital cards.
- Once they acquire all collectibles, passengers can receive free airline miles and more.
Flying High with Complimentary Rewards
Operated on the Polygon network, uptrip enables all Lufthansa passengers to gather digital cards featuring specific destinations, aircrafts and holiday events.
Once collecting all sets of these themed digital cards, they can unlock numerous benefits, including complimentary airline miles, entry into airport lounges, in-flight WiFi and more.
A soft debut of the loyalty initiative has already attracted more than 20,000 passengers. These early adopters have collectively snatched up 200,000 digital cards — a clear indicator of the program’s impactful allure.
The Lufthansa Group’s ‘Miles and More’ loyalty scheme boasts approximately 36 million members, further poising this new initiative for success.
Moreover, adopting Polygon as a rewards program similar to Nike, McDonald’s, Starbucks, Coca-Cola and Reddit proves there’s a place for such NFT initiatives for big brands of all sectors.
As this new NFT loyalty program takes off, it sets a new altitude for consumer engagement in this captivating digital age. So, collect digital cards before onboarding with Lufthansa and reap the rewards!
