The last race for 2022 will take place in Abu Dhabi on November 20. This marks the conclusion of the current season. It’s the first time in history that a blue-chip NFT has ever been on an F1 race car. This race marks the conclusion of all 2022 competitions.

Bybit and Red Bull Collaboration

Bybit, a cryptocurrency exchange, was revealed as Red Bull Racing’s principal sponsor in February 2022. Moreover, Bybit is only among the rare crypto exchanges that sponsor Formula one teams. The NFT’s artwork, together with that of the anime-inspired Azuki collection mascot Lei the Lightning, will be shown beside the official logo of the exchange.

The collection contains 10,000 NFTs, including the very first Lei Azuki NFT. At the time of writing, the #8494 was worth around 9 Wrapped Ether (wETH), or nearly USD 11,100.

The famed Azuki riding alongside Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez is named Lei the Lightning Azuki (Azuki #8494).

Lei, the Lightning Azuki, will compete for Red Bull Racing in a limited edition version of the vehicle bearing the number 8494. It will mint on the Tezos blockchain before becoming available on Bybit platform’s non-fungible token market.

“We are excited to announce our partnership with Oracle Red Bull Racing and Bybit. Lei the Lightning Azuki reflects the passion, precision, and raw power of Oracle Red Bull Racing. We look forward to telling Lei’s story in the 2023 F1 season,”

Azuki founder Zagabond

This is not only, the Azuki team is also giving all holders F1 race jackets so they are ready for the Abu Dhabi race. The Azuki team has let holders put the same jacket on their Azuki characters that Lei the Lightning is wearing. The only way to get a unique community badge is to wear the jacket and share it on Twitter. Also, don’t forget to include the #AzukiF1 hashtag!

Crypto and Formula One

Oracle Red Bull Racing is a Formula 1 racing team that has been around since 2005. Red Bull owns the team. With multiple world titles and more than 80 race wins, ORBR has become one of the most successful F1 teams. With a great team and cutting-edge technology, ORBR continues to strive for success.

Azuki, Oracle Red Bull Racing, and Bybit come together and make history by adorning an F1 car with an Azuki NFT.

The contract transaction involves a considerable sum of money. Furthermore, Chiliz has established partnerships with other Formula One teams during the last two years. This year in May, Red Bull also collaborated with Tezos to launch new NFT collections.

Formula 1 also filed a number of trademark applications in October 2022 that suggest that the organization is looking to take full control of the intellectual property in the wider cryptocurrency space.
