In celebration of its second anniversary, Vogue Singapore released a double cover featuring South Korean superstar CL and K-pop star Jackson Wang, the magazine’s first solo male cover model.
Quick Take:
- Jackson Wang and CL find their way to Vogue Singapore’s Club Singapore cover.
- The magazine is the result of a collaboration between Polycount and Club Vogue.
- The magazine includes a “Forever Fashion-able” NFT collection and digital wearables.
Knowing More About Club Singapore Magazine
The NFT collection in the Club Singapore magazine, called Forever Fashion-able, is a one-of-a-kind collection. It is built with the help of MAD XR and famous fashion photographers. These include Nick Knight, Chen Man, Liz Collins, and Ellen von Unwerth. This NFT collection is up for auction on the NFT marketplace, Brytehall.
In addition to the NFT collection of clothes, the magazine will also have Digital Wearables. In this, five mannequins digitally dressed by the team are present in the magazine. Their dressing includes collections from The Fabricant and DressX.
The Fabricant has a series of digital accessories. Moreover, these accessories, called XXories, are only available in the Club Vogue Singapore magazine. In total, the collection has 13 pieces, minting on the Ethereum blockchain. Out of these, 10 are on display on the mannequins. As these pieces are available on Spatial, the users can try them on with AR filters.
The Fabricant’s digital accessories take inspiration from the traditional dresses of the Dutch province of Zeeland. Plus, the users will also see traces of the Dutch techno Gabber Culture of the 1990s.
Dresses in the Vogue Singapore Magazine are Based on Ideas
The entire Fabricant collection will go on sale in February 2023. However, there are options to sign up early in November for the collection.
“The accessories are intentionally provocative and suggest the idea of wearing your pain, presenting a fresh perspective on beauty that mixes IRL models wearing pieces that only exist digitally.”
Amber Slooten, the Creative Director of The Fabricant
Talking about Vogue collections, another one deserves special mention. The DRESSX collection has something for both men and women. This collection is special because of its connection to the snake and its skin-shedding technique.
Similarly, the owners of items in this collection can give three looks, called metalooks. The users can buy and wear these metalooks on their avatars in the Ready Player Me metaverse.
Vogue Singapore has past connections with the metaverse. This means that the magazine has launched digital cover NFTs and NFT mystery boxes. The project Vogue Singapore x Vogue Ukraine helped raise money for Save the Children in Ukraine movement.
