Keith Grossman’s TIME Career

Keith Grossman joined TIME Magazine in 2019, a year after the company sold to Marc and Lynne Benioff for $190 million. Since, Grossman has been credit for fuelling and starting up the company’s web3 journey – launching TIMEPieces, and profiting the brand over $10 million in the process.

He has been a huge fan of cryptocurrencies and NFTs clearly. In a Tweet following the announcement of his MoonPay move, he said: “In 2020, I noticed a trend too big to ignore – web3 – which provided an evolution from online ‘rentership’ to ‘ownership’. Within web3, we highlighted the power of community, a new way in which brands can partner with creatives in an equitable manner.”

He added: “We showed that it was possible to execute a successful business while genuinely adapting to this new ecosystem netting over $10M in profit in its first 12 months & also donating over $600K to non-profits.”

His Move to Moonpay

Following his tenure at TIME, Grossman will depart the company on December 31, and continue as a member of the team at Moonpay from then on. His official role is President of Enterprise, meaning he will work alongside some of the world’s biggest brands to onboard them into the world of web3. Speaking to DeCrypt, he mentioned brands such as Nike and Universal Pictures as some of the major brands he’d want to work with in the industry.

Moonpay has grown its name as the simple way for new, unfamiliar users, to make their way into the web3 space. They provide easy ways for users to purchase different digital assets, from Bitcoin to NFTs. In recent times, they have aided celebrities such as Justin Bieber and Post Malone to purchase major NFTs – like Bored Ape Yacht Club and Cryptopunks.
