Hennessey is one of the “big four” cognac houses in the world. It has now forayed into the web3 space with an NFT release of its golden edition, Hennessey Paradis Cognac. It’s not an actual bottle but an NFT of the same, and the owner of the NFT holding can redeem it in exchange for the bottle itself in the future.

Quick Take:

  • Hennessy has announced the launch of a golden edition of its Paradis cognac tied to an NFT.
  • The NFT is now for sale on BlockBar, the leading NFT marketplace for spirits and wine.
  • The company has only released 500 limited editions, each costing $2,500.

500 Bottles of the Paradis Golden Edition

Hennessy has just released 500 NFTs of its Paradis Golden Edition Cognac on the Blockbar marketplace. Moreover, the NFT of the bottle is an animated artwork of the rotating Hennessy Paradis bottle set against a calming desert in the background. The NFT is created by Veneda Carter, a famous gold jewellery designer.

Initially, the Paradis Golden cognac bottle will be available in 700 ml format. After this, Hennessy will release the ‘magnum’ edition of the same in 1500 ml format. In both cases, the NFT will be available on the Blockbar marketplace.

Blockbar CEO Dov Falic commented, “We are delighted Hennessy has chosen to partner with Blockbar yet again to release Hennessy Paradis Golden Edition exclusively.”

The Hennessy Paradis Sale Goes Live on 23rd September

The Hennessy Paradis Golden edition NFT is now live on the Blockbar marketplace. Given that, the 500 limited edition cognac NFTs will cost $2500 each. Anyone can buy them via Ethereum or a credit card.

The CEO also stated that “Blockbar is at the forefront of ‘phygital’ gifting this holiday season, and we’re excited to offer our community this unique offering combing an exclusive artwork by Veneda Carter with personalized gift messages and an investable, asset-backed NFT of Hennessy Paradis Golden Edition.”

Veneda Carter, the creator of the NFT, described it as “A bounty of nature polished by human hands.

Finally, once a person purchases the NFT, Hennessy will reserve the physical bottle. A record of authenticity will be kept on the blockchain for future reference in the form of a digital ownership certificate.
