GamerPay Pushes Toward NFT Games Going Mainstream

The GamerPay team works toward eliminating some of the so-called “pitfalls” for Web3 gamers who want to shy away from crypto usage

To push towards NFT games going mainstream, leading marketplace and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) site GamerPay presents a new revolutionary model: tradable and buyable gaming NFTs in fiat only.

Quick Take:

  • GamerPay brings ownership of skins to players in its Web3 games.
  • The marketplace expands its model by presenting a revolutionary “no ramp” model.
  • Buyers can now buy NFTs readily available for Web3 games in fiat.
  • They can also buy, sell and hold NFTs where they manage the CS:GO assets without crypto.

The Beauty of GamerPay Adding Web2 & Web3 Assets

Unfortunately, many people are put off from using cryptocurrencies following Web3 being a volatile market—especially since the FTX aftermath.

The beauty of GamerPay is that, unlike many other Web3 projects under the same breath, the CS:GO site presents a unique model that does not require crypto for buying and selling playable NFTs.

Rather, since last month, players can easily manage their Web2 and Web3 digital assets using a fiat onramp model.

Following this, it has become one of the top CS:GO sites, assisting towards its much-loved shooter game, EV.io, alongside plenty more. The co-founder of Axie Infinty also backed the sites for reaching the highest of heights.

“When regular players in the future give EV.io or another web3 game a go, they only have to focus on the game. They don’t need to hold crypto, understand on and off-ramp, the taxation complexity that crypto brings and much more. That we have taken care of. This launch will help web3 games to go more mainstream as people will be able to own and trade digital assets way more easy,”

says Mathias Hermansen in a press release.

It is a shame that many perceive the buying and selling of NFTs as reserved for traders and crypto enthusiasts. However, it’s great that GamerPay attracts a wider audience of Web3 gamers from the mainstream world.
