Murakami.Flowers NFTs blossom from seeds to flowers to entice collectors
Murakami.Flowers NFTs consisting of 11,664 flowers blossom on the blockchain, thanks to the collection’s iconic artwork and unique distribution system.
The project was snipped short over the creator wanting to dig into the Web3 space more. However, 14 months later, the price of the digital assets grew to reach a total market cap of $8,791.38.
ABOUT THE ICONIC CREATOR – TAKASHI MURAKAMI
The creator of Murakami.Flowers NFTs, Takashi Murakami, is a famous Japanese artist who creates iconic flowers while “blurring the line between high and low arts.”
Murakami’s status in the art and fashion world attracts collectors. You can find his flowers on Vans, Louis Vuitton, Supreme, and other major designer labels. Thus, his artwork costs thousands, with original pieces selling for millions at auction.
Last December, Murakami initially joined the Web3 space, joining forces with virtual fashion group RTFKT. Together, they created 20,000 NFT avatars called CLONE X. But, after planting the flower NFTs on OpenSea for just 11 days, Murakami knew it was best to dig into the NFT space more for the project to blossom.
WHATE ARE MURAKAMI.FLOWERS NFTS?
Now, Murakami’s most recent NFT project, Murakami.Flowers NFTs consist of 11,664 flower NFTs continuously blooming in price and visually. The NFTs initially sell as seeds but grow into flowers once collectors plant them in their MetaMask wallets.
Murakami ensured CLONE X holders got first pickings of the digital flowers, alongside family and friends who had dibs on 500 digital assets before the public sale. So, despite the collection consisting of 11,664 NFTs, only 6,751 NFTs were available to the general public.
Nevertheless, if you want one of these flowers and feel lucky, some unpicked flowers are accessible via a lottery system.
All collectors also lock into Murakami’s smart contract and receive physical attire, cookies, and other rewards.
