Otherside, a BAYC Metaverse project has scheduled its second trip for the end of March 2023. The Apes’ first visit to the Otherside disclosed their Metaverse, which had about 5,000 individuals logged in simultaneously.

Quick Take:

  • The first Otherside trip introduced the Apes to their Metaverse, with over 5,000 people logged in at the same time.
  • Yuga Labs said that Voyagers will keep going into the Otherside with more trips, chances, and experiences that last.
  • Yuga Labs has also partnered with Improbable to enhance the Otherside Development Kit’s Avatar experience (ODK).

They had to fight a big Koda with BAYC mascots Curtis and Blue. Plus, Yuga Labs announced on Wednesday that Voyagers would continue exploring the Otherside Metaverse with new experiences, opportunities, and encounters.

What might we anticipate from the Otherside Metaverse Second Trip?

According to Yuga Labs, the second trip to the Otherside Metaverse will have new landscapes, new play methods, and even more participants than the first. Additional gamification options will make the game more exciting, entertaining and enjoyable.

Moreover, users can visit the Otherside Metaverse, connect their wallet, and instantly start playing as their NFTs on the second trip. In the near future, fans with BAYC, MAYC, or Meebits will have no trouble playing as their own unique avatars. The following trip will most likely be on Bonedeed’s desert map. Not to mention, Curtis, Blue, and a Voyager will embark on a journey in pursuit of a “glowing, pulsing stone.”

Yuga Labs and Improbable have also worked together to enhance the Avatar experience on their Otherside Development Kit. The kit enables individuals to build and personalize their avatars. Apart from Avatars, the ODK will give users additional methods to edit, create, and interact with their environment.

The toolkit is also based on various types of games. More players will join the Otherside Metaverse with these additional tools and mechanisms.

The team has yet to reveal more information regarding entering the metaverse with custom NFTs. However, Yuga claims that the game would also contain the ability to fly.
