To celebrate Halloween, The Sandbox, one of the top metaverse platforms, has had a host of festivities. They are branding today as ‘Cryptoween’ and are working alongside Paris Hilton on some of their various events, experiences and new avatars.

Quick Take:

  • The Sandbox has created lots of Halloween-based content to celebrate today.
  • ‘CRYPTOWEEN’ is being worked on alongside long-term NFT and metaverse supporter, Paris Hilton.
  • Yesterday saw the $SAND coin up just under 7%, with The Motley Fool suggesting it could be due to the Halloween moves.
  • The platform has also seen an influx in users during the Halloween festivities
The Sandbox’s ‘Halloween Special’ is a part of their ongoing Alpha Season 3.

What’s Happening during The Sandbox’s ‘Halloween Special’?

The Sandbox‘s Halloween Special has been going on for a few days now as a part of their Alpha Season 3. As a part of this, three new ‘spooky experiences’ were added to the S3 map. These included Pits of Hell, Hell’s Gate, and Deja Vu.

Twitter users commented on the change of the map too. They that the new lobby and Club XYZ redesigns looked “cool” and “awesome” respectively. For visiting all five of the new experiences, The Sandbox are rewarding users with a Halloween badge that will appear on their profile. They were quick to clarify that this isn’t an NFT.

Also, Paris Hilton, the multimillionaire turned crypto/NFT influencer, has her own place in the Halloween celebrations of The Sandbox. Users have been invited to visit her ‘Cryptoween’ section of the map. Here, parties have been hosted, and it will remain on the platform until November 7. To clarify, fans can compete in social challenges and quests, collect virtual Halloween candy, and participate in raffles to earn $SAND and NFT rewards.

Positive Impact for The Sandbox

Thankfully, The Sandbox have seen positives come out of the Halloween ongoings in their metaverse platform. Just yesterday, over a 24-hour time period, their cryptocurrency, $SAND, saw a near 7% increase due to the activities.

Beyond this, data from DappRadar shows that the number of unique active wallets interacting with The Sandbox smart contracts jumped massively over the most recent 7-day period, up 28% to over 4,600 this week.
