Volaris, a leading Mexican ultra-low-cost airline, has recently made headlines as it ventures into the NFT market. Moreover, this innovative move is not just about digital collectibles; it also includes real-world travel perks for customers.

Quick Takes:

  • Volaris announced its entry into the NFT world with exclusive offerings.
  • The collection will also allow customers to get real travel perks.
  • There are 30 NFTs in the collection, which are available on the OpenSea platform.

More Details About Volaris NFT

Volaris’s debut collection includes 10 distinctive NFT designs, each featuring different cities. These include Cancun, Bogota, Tijuana, Mexico City, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Peru. Furthermore, the NFTs are not just digital assets; they will grant the customers other benefits and a Volaris Annual Pass. The pass is a golden ticket to unlimited one-way flights across the airline’s network for an entire year.

Volaris tweeted on August 16, quoting their plan and offerings. Also, in the Aviation industry, big players like AII Nippon Airways, AirBaltic, Qatar, and Etihad Airways have their own NFTs. Now, it’s high time that Volaris stepped in as the first Mexican airline to embark on this digital journey.

Volaris NFT: Offers and Passes

For those who are eagerly waiting, Volaris has listed 30 NFTs on the OpenSea market with an early bird offer. In addition, the first 20 buyers will receive a welcome kit packed with exclusive experiences.

Daniel Gelemovich, the Director of Marketing and Digital at Volaris, has expressed his excitement by saying, “Adopting technologies like blockchain allows us to offer unique travel experiences while continuing our commitment to innovation and high standards of customer service.”

Furthermore, drawing inspiration from the US’s Frontier Airlines, the Volaris Annual Pass is tailored for spontaneous travelers. Also, it allows flexibility with bookings for domestic flights a day ahead and international flights three days in advance. However, there is a cap on the number of seats available for Annual Pass holders per flight, plus additional taxes and fees.

Volaris’s leap into the realm of NFT shows transformations in the aviation sector. Lastly, this initiative can have limitless possibilities for technology and traditional marketing as well. It will redefine travel as well as digital experiences for many enthusiasts.
