The Cookie Monster is leaving Sesame Street for the first time. Thanks to Sesame Workshop‘s new partnership with the app-based marketplace VeVe, NFTs of the much-loved blue puppet are launching on March 19, 9 am (PT).

Quick Takes:

  • Sesame Workshop and VeVe are launching Cookie Monster NFTs on March 19 via the VeVe app.
  • VeVe has had numerous successful partnerships with other notable franchises. Therefore, this NFT drop expects to be popular given the app’s track record of selling more than 8M digital collectibles.
  • More Sesame Street collectibles on VeVe are expected to be released this year.

What’s Next for Sesame Street NFTs?

Sesame Workshop — the guys behind Sesame Street — and Veve — a collectible digital platform — are releasing Cookie Monster NFTs in a few days time.

VeVe revealed the good news on Twitter just yesterday:

Thanks to the NFT platform previously performing partnerships with some of the world’s largest franchises: Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, DC Comics, and Warner Bros, this drop is expects to be popular. And it’s no wonder – over 8 million digital collectibles have been sold via the platform, which is available on both Google Play Store and the App Store.

Consequently, Sesame Workshop is already working on launching more Sesame Street collectibles on VeVe this year. Perhaps showcasing other lovable characters from the kids’ show, like Big Bird, Elmo, Bert, Grover, or Oscar the Grouch. However, Sesame Workshop is yet to reveal such news.

With VeVe’s successful partnerships and Sesame’s iconic characters, this partnership marks an exciting new chapter in the digital collectibles world. Fans can showcase their love for Sesame Street in a new and exciting way.
