Quick Takes:
- Wreck League, fueled by nWay, Animoca Brands and Yuga Labs, is preparing to merge Web2 and Web3 gamers through unique gameplay experiences with rewards.
- Gamers can design their own fighter characters ‘Mech, with more than “1.5 quadrillion” style combinations available as rewards through four esteemed Yuga Labs collectibles: Bored Ape Yacht Club, Mutant Ape Yacht Club, Bored Ape Kennel Club, and Otherside Kodas.
- Future gaming ventures will showcase additional world-class Web2 and Web3 brands and IPs.
Equipping Wreck League Players’ Ownership
Extending into the Yugaverse by incorporating four of Yuga Labs’ famed collectibles — Bored Ape Yacht Club, Mutant Ape Yacht Club, Bored Ape Kennel Club, and Otherside Kodas — nWay and Animoca Brands’ forthcoming multiplayer fighting game enables both Web2 and Web3 gamers to own, craft, and fight with unique fighting personas called ‘Mechs’.
As of next month, players will have the free will to compose their Mech fighters however they wish, with more than “1.5 quadrillion” style combinations up for grabs.
The game’s first season to kick-off will showcase the four Yuga Labs collections, paving the way for accumulating Mech parts, providing players with exclusive, gameplay elements as rewards.
A Web2 x Web3 Battle
Both Web2 and Web3 versions of Wreck League are set to include the same daily missions battle passes and in-game store. However, owners revamping Mech NFTs can reproduce their Mechs as non-NFTs. These purchases will then benefit the original Mech NFT holders.
“Wreck League is a hybrid Web3 and Web2 project,” commented nWay’s CEO, Taehoon Kim.
“Our aim is to unite the communities and players, leveraging the creative potential of the Web3 community to enhance the game’s content continuously. With our expertise in competitive fighting games, we are confident in delivering a well-rounded experience that has the potential to truly combine both the Web3 and Web2 gamer communities by creating a symbiotic relationship between the two groups.”
In the near future, this Animoca Brands’ fighter game will offer a limited-edition sale of Mech parts to those that sign up for the Allowlist, enabling players to get their arsenal together before the fun begins.
Future gaming adventures are also set to showcase additional world-class Web2 and Web3 brands and IPs. So, join the mint and gear up!
