Yuga Labs Onboards Epic Games Legend, Mike Seavers, as CTO

Yuga Labs, the company behind the widely popular non-fungible token (NFT) project, Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), welcomes Mike Seavers as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO) on May 22.

  • Former Executive VP of Development at Epic Games, Mike Seavers, is taking over Yuga Labs as CTO — replacing Kerem Atalay, who is switching to become a Strategic Advisor.
  • Seavers will bring a wealth of gaming experience to the table, following contributing to top gaming projects: Fortnite, Unreal Engine, Valorant, Legends of Runeterra, and League of Legends.
  • Yuga Labs eagerly anticipates Seavers’ arrival on May 22. With his assistance, the company behind BAYC aims to boost the Web3 platform’s gaming and entertainment sector to even higher levels.

Mike Seavers’ Extensive Gaming Experience

Mike Seavers is taking over Kerem Atalay’s role as CTO, resulting in Atalay becoming the Strategic Advisor for the world-renowned NFT company instead.

With more than 20 years of experience in the gaming world and previously holding the position of Executive Vice President of Development at Epic Games, Seavers contributes to the significant projects Fortnite and Unreal Engine. Additionally, he was the CTO at Riot Games, building Valorant, Legends of Runeterra, and League of Legends.

Following his expertise, the project behind BAYC is excited to welcome Seavers as its CTO. As such, Yuga Labs’ CEO, Daniel Alegre, shared his enthusiasm on Twitter:

Moreover, Alegre commented in a press release: “Mike has a demonstrated history of propelling organizations forward, and he aligns with our vision for the significance of digital identity and community in the internet’s future. We have the chance to be the leading Web3 platform in entertainment, and Mike’s expertise will enable us to scale and achieve that.”
