Kraft Food is driving Wienermobile metaverse and NFTs to the forefront of its virtual mission
On October 11, Kraft Foods made its most recent metaverse trademark application with the Trademark Office and US Patent for its classic Wienermobile.
Quick Take:
- Kraft is creating a Wienermobile-themed virtual restaurant in the metaverse.
- The metaverse will run a virtual restaurant that includes both virtual and actual goods, including food and drink deliveries in real and virtual worlds.
- Users can earn physical rewards, NFT and crypto through entertainment services on the virtual Wienermobile restaurant.
The Need for a Wienermobile Metaverse and NFTs
Kraft Food’s “Wienermobile” already exists as a fleet of hot dog-styled vehicles across the USA. The iconic vehicle was designed to promote and market Oscar Mayer goods, and has been since 1936.
Eighty-six years later, it’s time to put this hot dog back on the road. Although, this time, digitally.
To achieve such goals, Kraft Food’s wrote an application to the USPTO on October 12, stating that it wants to create a Wienermobile metaverse and NFTs, alongside what it intends to provide:
Interestingly, this idea for a Wienermobile metaverse and NFTs is not the first time the American food giant has applied for virtual trademarks:
As you can see, Kraft also entered trademark submissions regarding metaverse and NFT purposes in June. The items included your typical American’s all-time favorite household snacks, Jelly-o, Philadelphia, Kool-Aid and more.
Information regarding the success of the application is yet to be revealed.
Other consumer brands, like Coca-Cola and Gatorade, are also jumping on the Web3 bandwagon. So, keep your eyes peeled on NFT Lately for upcoming news.
